Dr. Wu joined Associated Eye Care in 2007. He completed his Masters of Business Administration degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota. During his years of education, he participated in biochemistry, tissue engineering, and cellular biology research. Dr. Wu received the Harry Freeman Research Award during his residency. He is trained as a comprehensive ophthalmologist, with experience in cataract, refractive, and eyelid surgeries.
Dr. Wu is committed to teaching and has been an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota since 2007. He previously served as the Associate Chief of Ophthalmology at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital from 2012-2018. There he teaches the ophthalmology residents from both U of MN and Mayo the art of cataract surgery and clinical care. He was named the surgical teacher of the year in 2012 and again in 2014. He enjoys his work with the Veterans and believes that their sacrifice deserves our support and best care. This commitment to teaching includes his patients where he believes that you as the patient will do best if you can participate in and understand your eye care.
